NATURAL BACKYARD OASIS

Nestled in the Dix Hills, New York woods, this serene backyard pool retreat, designed and built by Gary Duff Designs seamlessly combines natural and man-made features. We designed the pool to be the main focus and built a curving patio and seating area around it. The pool looks like it’s always belonged. The light-color rectangular pavers gave the entire area the look and feel of a wooden deck, with the versatility and durability of concrete pavers. They also helped to lighten up the area. An outdoor kitchen provides the homeowners room to entertain while preparing and serving a full meal from the grill, cooktop, mini-fridge, and wine cooler. In a separate corner, we added a dramatic, tall fireplace, designed to eventually support a cabana, to create a cozy place for guests to congregate. Nearby, a pea gravel dog run helps an elderly best friend get around much easier. The slide, integrated into the plantings, blends into the natural surrounding while still adding an element for children.
